AfroCentric purchased the AfroCentric Health Proprietary Limited (“AHL”) Group (80% shareholding).
Helios IT Solutions acquired a 51% interest in Allegra.

Sanlam acquired 28.7% of AfroCentric Healthcare Assets, a major subsidiary of AfroCentric.

AfroCentric was awarded the POLMED scheme contract.

AfroCentric acquired 100% of Pharmacy Direct, 100% of Curasana and 26% of Activo Health.

AHL, the largest operational subsidiary of the Group, repurchased its outstanding 5.9% minority interest. AHL became a private company effective July 2016.

AfroCentric is incorporated (80% of share capital purchased) and listed on the JSE.
AfroCentric increased its shareholding in AHL to 94.1%.
AfroCentric acquired the South African licence of the DBC back and neck rehabilitation programme.

The amalgamation of Bonitas and LMS Medical Fund (“Liberty”) added approximately 125 000 more lives under our care.

Pharmacy Direct secured further contracts for the delivery of chronic medication to scheme members and extended its government CCMDD contract to seven South African provinces (previously five).

AfroCentric acquired “The Cheese Has Moved” (1 March 2017) which will improve sales.

AfroCentric acquired the “Wellness Odyssey” (effective 1 July 2017) which has the wellness and managed care capabilities to improve health offerings to scheme members.
